Born from a question of whose humanity the world chooses to recognize, Brown Boy Brown Girl explores identity, prejudice, and the unequal weight given to human life.
Inspired by a series of ten paintings, the collection brings their designs, patterns, and colours into two jerseys, a series of tees, and AOTA’s first knit. Hues of brown, blue, and green reflect the varied skin tones and eye colours of Palestinian children, carrying the paintings’ message beyond the canvas.
